Caitlyn Wark
Owner + Acupuncturist
I grew up in Colby, Kansas — a small town of about 5,000 people under the wide open sky of western Kansas. I'm a farmer's daughter, and while I'll be honest that I never learned to drive a tractor, I grew up surrounded by some of the hardest working people I've ever known. That stuck with me. I work hard for my patients because that's just what you do.
I played tennis at Fort Hays State University, until a shoulder injury changed things. Regular massage therapy kept me playing through it (and probably let me do more damage than I should have), but it introduced me to something I couldn't shake: hands-on healing actually works. By my senior year I knew I wanted to pursue acupuncture, and I figured if I was going to do that, I wanted real hands-on skills first. So I stayed at FHSU and graduated with a degree in Massage Therapy in 2016, after finishing my Bachelor's in Exercise Science at Wichita State University in 2015.
From there I made my way to Austin, Texas, where I enrolled at AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine. I'll be honest, when I started, I didn't know a lot about acupuncture. I'd had exactly one treatment. What I knew was that it was hands-on, it was alternative, and it made sense to me in a way that Western medicine never quite had. The nudge came from my oldest sister, an infectious disease MD. Which, if you think about it, is about as Western medicine as it gets. I graduated from AOMA in 2021.
Life moved fast after that. I welcomed my daughter in February 2022, packed up and left Texas in April, and landed in Norman in May. Honey Bee Acupuncture opened its doors in August 2022 and we haven't slowed down since, welcoming a son in May 2025.
When I'm not in the treatment room or momming, you'll probably find me on a pickleball or volleyball court, biking out to the OU duck pond, tending to my garden or my ever-growing collection of indoor plants, or refinishing a piece of furniture. More likely though, I stayed up too late reading and I'm taking a nap.
What I've learned in practice is what I suspected from the beginning: treating the whole person works better than treating a symptom. Every patient gets a real conversation, a treatment plan built around them specifically, and a calm space to actually exhale. Now that you know a little about me, I'd love to learn about you. Whether you're dealing with stress, pain, burnout, or just not feeling like yourself, I'm here. Let's figure it out together.
